10 first steps

Stuck on starting? Pick one. Each takes under two minutes.

  1. Write the title and today's date.
  2. Read only the first question.
  3. Put one pen and one sheet on the desk.
  4. Write three words about the topic.
  5. Write one sentence. It can be messy.
  6. Make one flashcard: question on the front, answer on the back.
  7. Cover your notes. Say what you remember.
  8. Copy out the first question. Don't answer it yet.
  9. Set a 10-minute timer. Stopping when it rings is fine.
  10. Write the next small bit on a sticky note.

Done one? That counts. Do the next small thing, or stop. Both are fine.
